Pollen and phylogenetic relationships
Pseudorhipsalis himantoclada is one of three species for which the 2017 revision reports pollen forming tetrads. Four grains remain associated after meiotic divisions of the pollen mother cell. The authors related this character to a group comprising P. alata, P. himantoclada and P. lankesteri. Support for this group depended on the analytical method used. [Korotkova et al. 2017, pp.12–13]
