Cultivation

Collector observation

The author recommends a very porous substrate with low water retention, maximum light and air movement. He notes the absence of a taproot and prefers a wide, shallower pot. He cites conflicting views on pH, around 6 in cultivation compared with alkaline measurements in the field. [Romulski 2004a, file p. 40, 41]

Growth rate and propagation

Collector observation

The account reports about 5–6 cm after 10 years, more difficult sowing and the possibility of grafting offsets. These are observations and opinions, not a growth curve or guaranteed rate. [Romulski 2004a, file p. 41]
