A greenhouse experiment with seeds from one Homalocephala parryi population in Chihuahua. Two lots with different storage durations, soaking and pretreatment at 5°C were compared. The highest germination was obtained after chilling seeds stored for a year. The paper also describes fruits, seed structure and development of the seedling's first areoles. The lots came from different collection years.
