This ethnobotanical study documents uses and traditional management of Lemaireocereus hollianus under its historical name Pachycereus hollianus. Interviews and field observations describe the use of stems, wood and fruits, local variants and preferential protection of plants with desirable fruits. The authors interpret this management as an early stage of domestication.
