The field study follows the reproductive phenology of 40 mature Isolatocereus dumortieri plants in 2007–2009 and includes supplementary watering during the dry season. Flowering and fruiting occurred between January and July. Plants watered twice showed declining immature fruit numbers late in the experiment, without a significant stem-growth response to watering itself.
