Measurements of 20 plants and tissue samples were used to estimate seasonal water stores and carbon content in Isolatocereus dumortieri at Barranca de Metztitlán. Plant volume was related to height, basal diameter and branch number. Estimates concern plants of different sizes and extrapolate parenchyma samples to modelled stem volume, excluding wood.
