Fruits and seeds of Rhipsalis floccosa, R. pilocarpa and R. teres were compared, followed by germination tests at different temperatures and in darkness. At 20 °C, all three tested seed batches failed to germinate in darkness, whereas illuminated treatments germinated. The most favourable temperatures differed among species, and high constant temperatures reduced performance.
