The chloroplast genome of Rhipsalis baccifera collected in Kenya was sequenced and compared with available plastomes of other members of the studied clade. The 122 333-base-pair sequence exhibits gene rearrangements, changes in repeat regions and differences in intron presence. The study supplies data for evolutionary research, while explaining the broad distribution requires wider population sampling.
