Lopez-Granero M., Arana A., Regalado J. J., Encina C. L., Mass micropropagation and in vitro flowering of Mammillaria vetula ssp. gracilis var. Arizonica Snowcap, Plant Cell, Tissue and Organ Culture, 2023, 155(3):759-771, doi: 10.1007/s11240-023-02597-1

Experiments with the cultivar Snowcap concern activation of offsets from areoles, selection of media, rooting and transition to greenhouse conditions. The authors compare cytokinins, auxins, brief GA₃ treatment, sucrose and ancymidol. Separate experiments combine light and cold pretreatments with paclobutrazol to induce flowering in vitro. The article contains inconsistent protocol details in the abstract, table 1 and stage descriptions.
