A comparison of the environments of ten Epithelantha species and five closely related genera. Geographical data were combined with maps of climate, pH, soil category and landform, and a tree based on four plastid markers. The paper determines the phylogenetic signal of environmental variables and discusses ecological differences between E. micromeris and E. cryptica.
