Relationship of fruit set and viable seed numbers to flower age in Hatiora gaertneri ‘Crimson Giant’ and Schlumbergera truncata ‘Eva’. Single pollinations with fresh compatible pollen were performed on successive days of flowering. A separate style-excision experiment estimated the time required to attain a given seed yield.
