Daily gas exchange measurements in six epiphytic cacti differing in stem succulence. The proportion of nocturnal CO₂ uptake covaried with water-storage traits. Light responses were examined in Schlumbergera truncata and the historically named Rhipsalis houlletiana, and responses to short-term water deficit in R. rhombea.
