A study of reproduction in Leptocereus leonii in western Cuba. Measurements of flowers and nectar were combined with controlled pollination and observations of nocturnal visitors. In the studied population, the species was self-incompatible, fruit formation depended on nocturnal pollination and the only observed pollinator was the bat Monophyllus redmani.
