Study of 1500 L. scopulophilus seeds with mucilage and after washing under three greenhouse exposures. Mucilage delayed germination onset without increasing the final germinated proportion. Exposure conditions differed in both light and temperature. Functions related to seed adhesion and protection against predation remained hypotheses.
