The study of Strophocactus wittii, treated as Selenicereus wittii, combines Amazonian observations, stem and seed anatomy, gas exchange and carbon isotope measurements, and floral scent analysis. It documents CAM, air chambers in the seed coat and seed buoyancy. Hawkmoths are proposed as potential pollinators from floral structure, without direct observation of pollination. The cultivation section describes three clones maintained in botanic garden greenhouses.
