A morphological account, herbarium data and potential-range modelling for material treated as Armatocereus brevispinus. The paper reports the first record from Peru and provides a key to four species. POWO accepts this taxon as A. godingianus subsp. brevispinus, so the account and locality data retain that specific scope.
