Analysis of Ariocarpus kotschoubeyanus and Lophophora diffusa distribution relative to nurse plants in two Querétaro populations. It covers proportions of open and shrub-covered ground, actual and expected cactus numbers near individual plant species, and clustering. Most Ariocarpus kotschoubeyanus individuals were in the open, while distribution under shrubs depended on shrub species. The authors compare spatial data with earlier physiological studies.
