Seasonal chlorophyll fluorescence measurements concern adult Ariocarpus kotschoubeyanus in Tolimán. At each sampling time, six plants sheltered by Karwinskia humboldtiana were compared with six in the open. Light-response curves and non-photochemical quenching show seasonality in photosynthetic function and responses of plants with different surroundings. The paper describes apparent electron transport calculated from fluorescence measurements.
