Jasminocereus thouarsii
A branched, tree-like cactus of the dry Galápagos lowlands. Ribbed branches are divided by constrictions into successive sections. Studies on Santa Cruz document morning flowering, insect visits and slow seedling development, while comparison with San Cristóbal shows local variation in stem-surface changes.
